Ayman Awad is a brilliant DJ in the fantastic world of house music and follows in the footsteps of David Guetta and Bob Sinclair. Ayman was born in 1977 in Port Said, a city on the Suez Canal. His passion for music was evident even as a young child. Together with his friends, he founded a dance group called Jacks and not only toured with the group through all of Egypt but also featured in several music videos. But life had something else in store for him. One evening Ayman was at his local disco in the city with a couple of friends to spend the night on the dance floor. The DJ who was meant to play that evening didn’t show up and Ayman was asked to take over the turntables. Once he had tasted blood, he just couldn’t stop.

That was the start of his DJ career. At the beginning, Ayman organized his own clubbings together with his dance group. They danced and he provided the beat. After only a short time, he was the most popular DJ in his home town. In 1994 he moved on to Dahab and Sharm El Sheikh to play in a variety of clubs, bars and open-air parties. In 1997 he was given the opportunity to strut his stuff in Hurghada. He crossed the Red Sea and spent 3 years entertaining partygoers in one of the most well-known tourist destinations in Egypt. His special mix of Pump and Funky House with a touch of Soul quickly made him one of the most popular DJs in town.

At the height of his career, in the year 2000 Ayman decided to go international and landed up in Europe - in Austria to be exact. Every beginning is difficult and Ayman started off playing in small bars. Little by little he added reputable clubs like Beluga and Remembar to his list of gigs. Prominent DJs like Milk & Sugar, Tom Novy, Jamie Lewis or Jonathan Ulysse also played in these clubs. Ayman’s gift is his sense for the right beat at the right time. He then spent a year playing in the Club Kolosseum on Saturdays. What was special about these gigs was that they were aired live on one of the most famous radio stations in Austria.

Ayman is currently a member in Corazound, a well-known DJ pool in Austria, and he’s working intensively on his first Electro House E.P. Just wait and see! Ayman injects a cheeky style into everything he does and he says: ”All I want to do is play records and make people dance.”
